SKS receiver cover stamp

Sounds like a 55 or 56! You should post a pic... some of us won't have their SKS rifles till next week...

It should have a small star after the serial numbers on the receiver. What is the last letter of the serial number?

Yes, Ive got one, No stamp on cover but all matching, Serial starts out with TA the last letter looks like an O and has a small star about 2" away

it also has a Type 3 gas block

The letter "K" is thought to be the end of the line for Tula. From what I can find the undated ones ended with what is called the Letter Series.

Son-Of-Ah-Gun, DaveGP..., you HAVE TO POST PICS!!! It simply NOT fair to tease like that, and I don't care that you have to sneak it home... I wish I had that problem!!! ha ha ha

My serial is KB 193x on all parts - left receiver has KB 193x D (cyrillic letter D of course) Also the Tula star is about midpoint down the receiver on the same side.

Looks good GP!..We'll have to compare when my '52 dated Rusky lands here...and with the pretty star on the stock too!!
