SKS recoil buffers

As for the buffer I did this testing.

Basically don't waste you $12.00

As for the spring load FP. I encountered FTF with surplus ammo with the spring loaded pin. If you reloaded the FTF round it would fire the second time around. If you shoot milsurp ammo, use the original pin. Take apart your bolt after range day, clean the channel and pin, light oil and reassemble. Make sure it rattles. IF you are going to shoot commercial ammo then get the Murray Spring load pin.

after owning my sks for a while now and have shot 600 rounds through it.
IMO i wouldnt mod it at all. you already spent the money on 6 rifles, they are all fine and all going to shoot like they are suppose to.
I would recommend doing what my roommate (also SKS owner) did with me, sit down with the kids, take the gun apart, explain the importance of why the pin needs to be so clean, reassemble, and get shooting!!!!

As for the buffer pads....the gun has light recoil. I could see if you bought a crate of mosins, but the kiddies should be fine with the SKS.
Great to hear that you are getting the kids involved in shooting! :)
