SKS recoil pad (s)

Anyone know where in Canada (what dealer) I may purchase a 1" or 2" SKS recoil pad ? I want to extend the rifle as I have mounted a scope and want the full FOV of the scope.

Not sure about Canada but I ordered mine from SKSman for 10 bucks and with the way the dollar is now it's not such a hit on the pocketbook.!!

It's not the recoil that's the problem, it's the length-of-pull that's seemingly designed for those Russian midgets commonly seen in the 50s. I'm barely 5' 7" and the stock is still way too short for me...can't imagine what it'd be like for someone over 6'.

I'm 6'2" and I found the LOP so short I had to get a Tapco Fusion stock. It feels great now.

I've only gone shooting once since I got mine and length of pull wasn't a problem. I'm 6'1" but since I only fired half of the 200 shells from a good shoulder and half just for fun... I barely noticed. Next time, when the new gun feeling is a little less

Most people get confusied when refering to the sks as having a short length of pull due to the way the sight's are set-up. The proper check wield that we are used to is not the right shooting set-up for the sks. Below are the m14 shooting stance and the sks shooting stance photo's for visual aid;

Satain, I wondered that myself.
The M14 and SKS have the shorter butts and when using the original sights I have no problem and I'm 6' tall. I have not seen a reason to lengthen the butt on those rifles. With hunting rifles I usually go with 13.5 to 14" LOP for scope use.
