SKS scout Dot question

Hi everyone,

Ive bought a UTG rail and I have a Bushnell T-dot on it. I wonder where is the ''best'' place the dot should be , more in the front or in the back of the rail ?

Oh and If I put it in the back, is there a chance for brass to hit it ? can the brass eject and go in front

I think the brass sorta ejects.... upwards. So I think you're fine any way you want it. I think brass hitting it would a problem you would be able to spot before shooting.
