SKS shell deflector?

Hahaha! :D

Actually I was going to ask the same question, it looks like it is meant for Scoped rifles only as it attaches to the rear sight, and the one in their pic looks rather flimsy IMHO.

Anyone have one of these?

I just got my hands on a steel vented handguard/shell deflector combo, but I haven't installed it yet. Looks like this;
sk_sh_def_hgd.jpg

The shell deflector bolts to a bracket on the handguard and extends down the left side of the gun to shroud the ejection area/zone. It seems pretty sturdy und shkookum, but like I said, haven't installed it yet so I can't evaluate its performance. I didn't like the rear-sight hanger ones though, which is why I didn't go for them. Leapers also makes a shell deflector for use with their reciever cover scope mounts (the ones with 4 set-screws that hold it tight to the reciever), but that won't help unless you've got a Leapers scope mount :redface: SKSman sells all 3 different kinds of shell deflectors, for reference (the rear-sight hangers, Leapers scope mount models and hanguard/shell deflector combos).
