a while back i read about a mod you can do , grinding off a bit of the housing to make you sks side eject instead of straight up. I searched the forum and googled it but i cant find anything other than people saying you can do it, but not exactly what to do.

if anyone could link it or describe it. would be much appreciated

Thanks!

Use a small diameter carbide burr to do the main cut, then polish with a small stone for best results. Test fire and remove a little more if it still ejects up.

Make sure you do the gas tube mod too. I have done the side eject mod, but not the gas mod yet... The brass now ends in up in a 4-5ft area 30 yards forward and to the right.

At the range it still ends up everywhere. It also dents the crap out of brass cases making it difficult to reload. 7.62x39 and 22LR are the only calibers I don't reload for. :)
