Anyone know a place that might stock the sks/ak sight adjustment tool?

Want to take the new sks to the range on the weekend and my front post is not even close to center!

If not anyone have tips on what common tools might be used? I was thinking a valve stem remover for the post and a small C-clamp for the windage pin?

Or if anyone has a used one they'd like to part with :D

Thanks

Lever Arms in Vancouver have lots in stock otherwise I bought mine on ebay, but took a long time to get it shipped. If you order one from Lever arms get an extra front sight post as well

as my sks's was stripped during the refurb. Only $15 for both!

Use a big C-clamp with a 3/4 inch nut on the other side. You might want to get a few drops of penetrating oil soaked into it. Depending on the vintage and how long it sat, you might have to give it a whack with a hammer and large pin. Some of them are a real bugger to get moving.

There are several sponsors who carry sight adjustment tools, one is just as good as the next.

This tool is magic as I have broken several of the NcStar 1's and also the cheapies that came with the rifle athough once I got this bad boy never had an issue again & well worth the money.

you can buy one of these fancy ones above. thing looks like it cost 100 dollars tho.. i use a cheapo NC star i bought from ebay for like 15$ i mean how often are you going to adjust your sight?

funny thing was my gun was sighted perfect out of the box for 100yards and the windage was perfect. not like im genna adjust it on a windy day lol. If i was hunting with it, ya.. otherwise you most likely dont even need one

If your gun is surplus like most of the it probably has been sighted in already. A chinese or russian armourer probably drifted the sights over for a reason. I have owned many skss and one sight adjustment tool, the only thing I used it on was an 858.

The front sight on my SKS is way off to the right. I figured it'd hit about 6feet to the left so tried it @ 25yd, surprisingly made center hits, moved back to 50 & then 100, still centered. A couple other people fired it as well & they also made center hits. Give yours a try before worrying about adjusting.

Hey KILO,i have one you can borrow this weekend but i live in Halifax if you want to borrow it.:D
