Sks Sight Adjustment

Can an SKS sight be adjusted without the special sight adjustment tool?

The elevation looks like a set of points will do the trick but windage I am not sure of.

Sure, needle nose plier to turn the sight up or down for elevation and drift punch the base for windage. The tool is better though, and only costs a few bucks.........

I've geard that one of the large tire valve tools fits for the elevation adjustments.

Get the tool that has both windage and elevation in one.The windage arbor is in there pretty tight Saves pounding on the sight base. Plus repeated adjustment or removal of the elev. pin can cause it to come loose and not fit securely

if you dont want to buy the tool its easy to fashion one by just finding a little pipe that fits inside, and squash it. as per the horizontal adjustment, thats where the old phone book comes into play again. tape up the gun, get a very broad end punch and a hammer, set the site sideways down in the crease of the open phone book and wale away. works great
