I've had an SKS for a while now and managed to burn through 420 rounds without sighting it in yet. It shoots about 7" to the right at 25-30 yards. I tried using a C clamp and couldn't get it to work. Just wondering if theres anyone in ottawa who would let me borrow a sight tool for the weekend. I'd be willing to trade a few rounds of ammo and a tim hortons coffee for your trouble. Shoot me a PM if you can help me out.

For all the trouble of arranging an appointment;buying coffee;Giving ammo, etc., why not just buy one. It's an important part of the shooting process.14 dollars for a tool at Trade-ex, isn't much to pay, considering you've blown over 50 dollars of ammo and hit everything but your target. If you can't bring yourself to purchase a sight tool, then a punch and hammer will do the trick.A punch and a hammer costs more than the sight tool though.Very few Gunnutz would consider lending their sight tool, because it almost always comes back bent out of shape.Lending tools is rarely a nice experience to the lender. Most of the tools I've lent out have come back broken or not at all.

I wasn't aware that the sight tools could be had for $14, I thought they were more in the $40 range. Also seems kinda pointless to buy a tool and only use it once. I have some .38 special and .223 that was given to me and I don't have a use for it so I figured why not offer it up for trade. Also I tried a punch and hammer, doesn't want to budge. Offer is still open.
