SKS Spike Bayonet on a Russian?

A chinese sks spike bayo will fit but wont close fully because chinese bayo is a bit longer and the groove will be too short and too narrow on a russian stock cut for a blade bayo. The front stock ferrule on the russian model doesn't have the proper cut to allow the bayonet to fold completely. Only russian first year of production came with a cruciform spike bayonet while 1950 and later came with a blade bayonet.

OK, so the chinese bayo will fit the russian lug?

I wanted to purchase an old one to shorten, so I am not concerned about the stock groove....
