SKS stripper clips Y or N

Not sure what the theory is, some local Gunshow guys have made a bunch up, I personally can't see how it is worth it..esp' since they would be hard to dig out of my SKS vest.

Also cutting these things will burn out a more valuable cutting blade.

I guess you could use them in the 5 rnd Mauser ammo pouches.

Grr... this is a HUGE pet peeve. They are NOT stripper clips. Stripper clips are little tassle-covered clamps exotic dancers clamp to their nipples.

Sheet metal clips used to top up mags are called CHARGER clips, or just CHARGERS.

Blah, blah, blah. Dude, we all know them as "stripper clips". Just like people get all anal about calling magazines "clips". The bastardization and misuse of terms or words can quite often become the accepted meaning. A ##### is a female dog... ;)

Well, I'm not going to impose some nazi ban on the term stripper clips, but it IS worth pointing out the correct term ;) Even if you personally don't prefer the correct nomenclature...

I hear ya, but even the dealers call them strippers. ;)

As for cutting the strippers in half it might have something to do with the availability of 7.62x54R in 5 rd strippers and since we're "pinned down" to 5 in our semis it might seem the logical, handy choice for some...

I think the logical, handy choice would be to allow all ten rounds to load into the mag legally. Stupid law, standard mag capacity should be allowed!

Agreed! I can put a 30 round mag on my 10/22...
I better shut up before I ruin it for 10/22 owners... :p

EXACTLY!!!!! Like WTF, where did that come from? How is a 10/22 with a fully loaded 25 (or 30, or 50!!!) round mag any less dangerous than an SKS loaded with 5 rounds? This country drives me nuts.

I have an idea!!! Let's all pool our money and buy an island in the south pacific, stock it with wild pigs and deer and stuff, import some of those hot russian girls who are stuck way up north in Siberia, and live on the island with our guns :D That's stupid, nevermind...
