SKS Tapco Box Mags

Hi, Wondering if anyone else has got these. I got one, but it wouldn't fit in my Russian. Too tight and when I filed the holder to make the catch hold it, now it's not going in enough to release the bolt or push the bullet into the chamber.

Is there another way? I'm thinking of getting the 5/75 box at frontier arms, but not sure if it will fit or not.

I think tapco mags only with with the tapco stock?

just need to fit the mag to your rifle , look better you will see where is the prob ,

I had a choate stock on my SKS the tapco mag fit flawlessly. When I put it back to the wood stock it would no longer fit. You will need to trim the wood in the mag area t get it to fit or switch to a synthetic stock

Buy a good Dremel tool. FF stated to me that minor alterations maybe required to make it fir. If you buy it, pics will be a must!!!

trim the inside of the wood stock, that is where its getting jammed up

Thanks guys, here's the picture of what I did with the dremel. Seems I killed the mag, or is there a fix?



I read somewhere that You have to file through the front of the mag, but guess I was too late as I filed also the catch side because the damn thing wont fit. Should I get another mag or can this be fixed?
