SKS. The welfare gun of the shooting world...AND the most reliable in the gun worls

I'm guessing that Canada may have more civilian owned Soviet SKS's than any other country. Does 1,000,000 sound reasonable? Its the kind of thing that guys will buy 10 or 20 of. I bought 4 last week alone.

I hear the laws in the UK are fairly draconian. Welcome to Canada... we're not much better here... but we do have the pick of the SKS litter. Enjoy.

Yup,No handguns, and no semi's allowed in the UK,but we do have the single most violent countries(England and Scotland) in the whole of Europe!
Been here almost 2 years now,and doing my medicals for residency this Friday,I LOVE it here and its looking like I won't be returning to the UK(thank feck!),the missus loves shooting,my 9 year old daughter loves shooting,my 8 year old and 6 year old daughters are gonna start learning next year as well.

When you get bit by the SKS bug (Its in the cosmoline ,I think ) one is never enough!!!!!!! its not the cost, its just a great firearm !!!!! enjoy POPS

It would be interesting to know just how many there are in the country and we keep getting more and more. I take people to the range who have never fired a gun before and the always think its the prettiest gun out of all the ones I brought and its their favorite by the end of the shooting day.

For all you youngsters...YES...back in the day when there were only 2 TV channels and 8 different semi-auto fun-guns it was the GUNS that went bang all the time and the tv NEVER did. Man...my grandmother only ever owned three different TVs in her LIFE...not because she was so old they didn't HAVE TVs when she was young (which WAS the case) but because back then when you bought something you expected it to work forever pretty much. You would actually pay a TV repairman to FIX your broken TV instead of turfing it and replacing it and get THIS....he made HOUSECALLS!!!!
When your tv calfed you called the tv guy and he came OVER with his tester and tube caddy and sold you a new tube...it was always a tube.
(

You must have been wealthy! When our B&W would go out we would have to pull the tubes and head into town. The drugstore had one of those cabinet testers that would accept any tube. When the dud was found there would be rows of replacements in the cabinet. Pick out the replacement and back home to fix the boobtube. Learned real fast the capacitors hold a sh**load of power.

The only time my SKS failed to go bang it was only because my trigger and hammer springs were corroded to hell, not the gun's fault at all. It was who ever never wiped down the trigger group springs EVER. Love the SKS. A little after market care makes it the ultimate SHTF rifle. I have one in black ATI furniture. I must say it feels very comfortable. The rubber padded pistol grip, the rubber padded cheek piece on the rubber padded but stock. It feels quite luxurious. I love it.
