Yes . I had "severe feeding problem" because I followed the instructions that were available on the net at that time.
This instructions called for welding a keystock on the front of the magwell to serve as a mag catch. This position being way to low caused the feeding problems. Today I would do it all the way differently positioning the front mag catch about 1/8 to 3/16 higher. The magwell part of the conversion wouldn't be that hard with the proper equipment , the trigger group conversion would be a bit harder but definitely possible in a small hobby shop.
I agree with the suggestion above - get the factory SKS-D !!
