sks trigger group help

Hey fellas. Ive had my sks striped down a few times so I know I can do it lol.
My problem is Ive striped the gun down to just the barrel-recivever and stock. When I try to take the trigger group out the little button behind the trigger wont budge. Even tried `litley` tapping with a punch. What am I doing wrong or missing.

Did you put the latch in the safety position ?

Safety has to be engaged.

i bet you left the safety off i did that one first too hahaha caught it after i stopped and thought

Reminds me when I tried for like 5-10 min to get the stock magazine out and then remembered I had to remove the trigger group first.

also you don't need to tap the disconnect button, you apply constant pressure until it releases. WITH the safety engaged.
