SKS trigger group without rebound disconnector??

Hi all,

I recently purchased a later model (53, but the receiver has a serial with a letter or alien spaceship symbol) SKS. I noticed that when I took the trigger group apart it didn't have the rebound disconnector, it didn't even have the hole drilled in the assembly for it.

Is this common in the later models?
