sks trouble with disconnector

having a bit of trouble with a refurb.. when you pull the trigger, there is a noticeable resistance about half way through ... its brief but annoying
- i've taken the trigger out many times and it seems to be that the bolt follower/disconnector is abit undersize .. sort of like the tip is worn down abit and not fully disconnecting

-does anyone have a blue print or specification for this part size ?

the gun is a refurb laminate.. has a new barrel, bolt, gas cyl/piston .. its great in all other areas cept this one little annoying problem

ok, i went and put two piece of masking tape on the end of the disconnector and the bump felt during a pull of the trigger has disappeared ..! guess i answered the question

and comparing it with calipers to my other sks, it is indeed short

My trigger seems to hang up when it reaches the point where it would stop if the safety was on... Is this the same place yours was sticking?

Which part is the bolt follower/disconnector? Is that the long shaft the bolt assembly pushes down on when in battery to allow the trigger to fire?

what i did was pull the trigger group... put some layers of masking tape over the end of the disconnector .. (push your hammer back and make sure it ready to roll ...otherwise you'll have to rack your action and that'll eat the masking tape right off the disconnector )
- put the trigger group back in... take safety off, and squeeze the trigger... the masking tape should push the disconnector down, further and the bump/hesitation in the trigger will be gone ... or at least that is what my problem was

after i confirmed the problem... i measured my other sks and confirmed it

my remedy was to mig a small blob on the end of the rod and then regrind it to shape ... ( i've done lots of welding on thin stuff, so this was easy ) ... and now the trigger is good to go
