SKS Tula or Ishevsk

Anybody know anything about the Tula or Ishevsk sks 308 x 39, what to look for, what to look out for? Local ct store has 3 Tula & 1 Ishevsk for $199 each. They have matching numbers on the receivers, trigger guards, bottom of magazines and stock but no armory marking stamped on the stock so think the stock are repos. They are however hardwood and not laminate. They come complete with the blade bayonet, sling and cleaning rods. Would appreciate some input from anyone who is familiar with these. Thanks.

Buy all 4 of them...You WILL like them all. Usually called 7.62x39 but I get your drift

Unless one of the Tulas is a '49, buy the Izhevsk. Unless you plan Bubba jobs in the future, then just get a Tula shooter.

From what i have been told in another thread, there are fewer Izzy's around as the armoury in Ishevsk only made SKS for 2 years.

But I suppose that only really matters if buying a collector grade SKS.

Izhevsk's are rare, but so are the '49's and '55's.
