SKS vented hand guard? (where to buy or want to buy)

I d like to put the vented hand guard on my SKS because Im sick of the tapco pic rail one I have. Do they come with new pins for attaching to the gas tube, if not ill be buying a new gas tube to go with it. I found one on hical for 30 bux. anywhere else better priced? found em on ebay for 10 bux but they wont ship here!!! Anyone want to trade?

$29 is the going rate up here. Add the $15 flat rate shipping charge and that's just crazy considering what you get, and the fact they are $10 in the states...

You can shave the top rail off the Tapco, or cover it up like I did with mine..

I picked mine up for a couple bucks as well from sksman. Comes with a new pin. The Quality is passable. But at least it doesn't interfere with the sights.

No brokerage on US made items. You pay your duties (taxes) but canadapost gives you 20$ for free and brokers for free. So tell them to ship USPS.

Got mine from hi cal it was over 40 bucks shipped. IMO I should have ordered from SKS man state side!

I replaced My pin with a roll pin so that it's much easier to disassemble/reassemble.

Yeah, if you have an old Russian, then the pin in known to fuse/weld itself closed. They often need to be drilled out. I just bought a new wood gas tube assembly for $20 rather than tear apart the original 1950 one since it's an all matching #'s rifle.

I'm then either going to remove the new hand guard and put a synthetic one on, or sand and paint the wood black.
If I can get the pin out easily I may grab a ventilated one.

First I will have to get the new gas tube to fit, and make sure the original piston works/fits properly in it.

Mine was an unissued, matching westrifle import from 2 years ago.... who cares SKS's are a dime a dozen....

I drilled some holes in my ATI plastic replacement one, looks pretty kool.. did that on a Norc. M14 Hand guard as well, Allot less expensive option. . but I think I may check out that sksman if it's metal! ..

I picked up mine from SKS man (Paul's Guns). Final cost of the $9 US vented handguard was $13.64 Cnd. The total order was over $100 US, + exchange, + N.S. taxes, + Canada Border Services Agency handling fee ($9.95). Total in Canadian $ was approx 36% more than the total US $ invoice but I picked up a few items that I couldn't source in the Great White North.
