SKS Wartak rails in stock

My wss has everything wartak. Its a shame really. Magwedge is a better product

Its made in BC. It has a groove down the centre so you can still use your iron sights. I dont like to support companies that rip off small local ones. Magwedge was the first to market with this rail. Wartak stole the design. Magwedge is a cgn bussiness member who will give you personal customer service. Where is wartak?

Yeah, the customer service you get with Magwedge can't be beat. They stand by the product as well as the customer. He had some pictures up of some sample kwik rails in some pretty awesome colors too. Like crome and gold, metallic green, earth tones... I'm not sure if those are available yet. But I'll be buying Magwedge replacements if needed and for my next sks as well. I got the cheaper 2 - piece version and I have no complaints. I'm not sure if there are any of them left though, I think it's mostly the one solid piece that Magwedge has now. Go check out the Magwedge forum on this site I think it's under "Gun Supplies and Accessories" or something like that. Click there, scroll down and you'll find Magwedge. Buy one.

I think the colored rails are a excellent idea. Especially for people who like to go after market with their sks. You should do a you tube vid introducing the color kwik rails if you haven't yet. I'm sure you'll see some interest.

OK so I'll support a Canadian company, I was unaware they were the home team here. What is the improvement between first and second Gen? I'm worried about the aluminium getting chewed up by steel cases, is this a valid concern? Also u see Canada ammo has the mag wedge product for $99, is this Gen 1 or 2? I plan on using a red dot and magnifier, would the cases hit the red dot mount? Or do they deflect off the mount at a lower spot?

Sorry for all the questions, but I have yet to see the product in person.

the mount acts as a shell deflector. optics are safe. mine has taken hundreds of shells without showing any signs of fatigue. it comes with a felt strip to protect the finish.

first gen are two piece. 2nd gen are one. ive been running gen 1 for about 700ish rounds now no issues

I use a red dot on mine, no problems, no shells dinging my optics... are you using your original stock?

I plan on dropping it into an archangel. With a vortex red dot and magnifier. I'm looking into the front sight to see if it's removable or not. I don't mind the sight so much, but I hate the bayonet lug with no bayonet.

Sounds just like my sks. Youll love the AA stock it beats the hell out of crapcos (except for price lol)
Search sks front sight post removal on youtube. Some luck out and hammer them off, most need a press. I kept mine on because the groove in the rail can be used as buis

Yes.

Just knock out the two little pins that go across the barrel/sight/bayonet-lug.

Then the front-sight/bayonet-lug will slide off. You might need to tap it with a piece of wood.

I bought a 1 piece Gen II Magwedge rail at wholesale sports in Calgary for $99! Came with a piece of sticky material to buffer the brass from hitting the rail. I have a Vortex red dot and put a few hundred rounds through already and no dings at all. They even give you a spare piece of the material. Great rate and the ORIGINAL not the copy kat!
