SKS with a blued bayonet?

I picked up an SKS recently from a fellow CGN'er. It was a beauty (thanks a lot), and it was gifted to a good buddy. Here's my question. The bayonet was blued just like the metal work on the rifle. It didn't look like it was a home-made mod and the tones matched the rifle perfectly. I've seen a lot of SKS's on this site and at the gun shows, but that's the first one I recall seeing with a blued bayonet. What are your thoughts? Rare variant or nicely done modification?

The bluing was applied to the bayonet during the refurbishing process.

We get surplus arms in batches: the ones in-country now were bought from Warehouse Q, the ones last year came from Tin-Pot Dictatorship Y, the ones that were sold ten years ago were discovered in Bunker B. Generally each cache would have been assembled at the same time, so rifles in each batch tend to share characteristics; what was considered rare in one batch may be common in the next, or vice versa.

I don't think the current batch of SKS-45s has many blued bayos.
