So I kept going into one of the Canadian tires store and I would see this beautiful Sks with a realy nice stock.
I asked a few different sales people who makes the stock and the told me maybe Timbersmith?
I looked on line and could not find it anywhere. This ment if I wanted it I would have to buy it with the Sks.
So after a month or so I couldn't resist it anymore and bought it. The Sks it was in was not very nice so I ended up putting a nice all matching Izzy in it.
Thinking I might do a barel chop since I can't use the bayo anymore.
What do you think

Maybe a "one off" Timbersmith that ended up in the shipment? Maybe chop the original Sks it came with......or just remove the bayo.

Maybe it was a Prototype/Demo model sent by mistake and / or put out for sale by accident ??

The Checkering , is it a stamped type or does it look hand checkered ?

EIther way it's a beauty and I wonder if someone is wondering where it went to ,, back at the factory ovrec:runaway:

I wouldn't know how to tell if it was stamped or not.
All I know that it's mine now:dancingbanana:

I think I will leave it as is without the barel chop.
I wanted something nice to go in this beautiful stock and the Izzy is nice.

Years ago I saw some pictures of custom one-off guns made by Russian arsenals. Custom stocks, custom finishes, custom firearms from scratch. I'm thinking this might be a "fancy hunting" stock made by a Russian maker. Meaning not issued to anyone. But if so, it might be VERY rare. Maybe.

You may have lucked into a real unique stock for a common rifle.

I would like to think that's the case but I don't know.
Guy at the CT said the owner bought whole bunch with the Timbersmith stocks and this one was just in there.
