SKS with ATI stock- question.

Anyone have a SKS with an ATI stock? If so are you able to use Tapco mags in it?

The reason Im asking is because I have a SKS with an ATI stock and the Tapco mag will not feed the gun! Help!

I own all the components you asked about..I had to shave some off the the stock, ahead of the magazine..if you look the tapco one has a larger "Head" on it..prevents the mag from going in..maybe on purpose..cut back the stock it'll fit slick..mine does..

The first pic shows where the lip on the mag (pen is pointing) restrictes the travel of the round, which wont let it chamber.

The second pic is of the lip outside the gun. Im going to grab a file and reduce that lip but am leary once I do the mag wont hold and rounds without it.

Advice????

I have looked at my mag that i bought second hand and the "tip" of the lip is not straight like yours..

Thanks cursed1. I will try to shave down the lip on the rh side of the mag (when inserted in gun).

I filed mine down, alittle more then yours. Seems to work, will be taking it out for a real test run tomorrow!
