SKS with chromed barells

As a title of a thread says, which SKS have chromed barells?

How would one inspect SKS, and be sure that barell IS chromed?

What are visual differences between regular barell and chromed barell?

look inside the crown. If its shiny silver in color, its chrome. If its black in color, its non-chromed.

Chrome barrels are a little heartier for shooting corrosive ammo, especially if one doesn't understand how to properly strip and clean a rifle, or one is just lazy.

That's what I thought, but was not sure that it would be that clearly visible.

Just about all but the Yugos.

Are there any others that do not have chrome lined barells?


Is there any correlation between not having chrome barell and being most accurate SKS when we talk about Yugo SKS?

1949 to sometime in 51 Tulas were not chrome lined either. Susposedly a non chrome barrel is more accurate. Not sure if it pertains to military arms though.
