Have it in a chassis with integral pic rail using a lower cost red dot sight. After full adjustment shots are still hitting 12 inches high. Anyone else have similar troubles ? possible that I need a higher quality sight.
Mounts with a crosspin to the rear of the body cover and the rear sight dovetail , then the forward second part is mounted directly to the chassis. (TNA Chassis)
The tna site isn't responding to 'changing pics', only shows a cra**y pic of 'stuff' and a box. That forward pic rail looks (in a tiny picture) to be for 'hanging stuff' like lites, not for sights. The rail at the back may need adjusting, assuming the 'leaf sight connection' is adjusted correctly. I'd contact Both the mfrs for advice . . . or read the manuals ?
Sounds like you have the mag wedge type of rail system
I had a similar rail on mine a while back but it was a Russian made one and it worked really well
you might need a rail with a built in +20 moa or something similar
You can try a different red dot or scope too to see if it has more adjustment
Thank you all for the replies , the easiest will be to try another optic. The Mag Wedge system is in use on the main part of the rifle , the forward tri rail is a factory part and while likely meant for lights/lasers etc. it is approx. one inch lower and with the optic mounted there it still hits high.
