SKSD with AK drum

Just finished modding my SKSD to accept AK drum mags. I had an extra stock so I figured what the hell. Basicly just trimmed down the stock and metal insert of the mag well to allow the drum mag to fit. Sadly, it's only 5 rounds, but it'll look mean in the bush

That's what I thought. Only bigger and meaner I thought the Albanian bolt carrier was a nice touch too.

And it feeds/functions perfectly.

Anyway you can post a template of the cut on the stock that you did? I am seriously a terrible handyman when I modify things, and I would hate to messup a good stock. Good for you.

How does the drum work, have you fired it off. I can't wait til I modify my SKSD

It's a 75 round drum.

Yes Robert, it works great. If I get home this weekend I'll get a template made up for you. But when you do the mods, remove the metal part of the magwell first. Then file down the wood till the mag clears. Then replace the metal part and file it down till it meets the wood.

A dremel and some drum sanders are perfect for the job.

Local Indian reservations prob' have a few, but you will need to take them apart or pin them to 5 before you leave.
