SL-8 cracking

Ive read alot about the lower reciver cracking on these Sl-8's due to the bolt catch. Now if it happened to you and you sent it back did you have to pay for a new reciver? is there any latest developments to correct the problem? do the AR mag adaptors help this problem any?
I really like the rifle and would like to get one for myself but if its so common i dont really want to be bothered with it.

HK will repair/send another once you return the rifle to a dealer.

I don't know about all the HK dealers but I bought my SL8 from Wolverine Supplies and they are great to deal with. They ordered me the replacement receivers free of charge and I just swapped them over myself and returned the cracked ones back to Wolverine.

I thought reciever cracking was less prolific with the SL8-5? Was it always the bolt catch that was causing the cracking, or moulding?
