Whats with the dealers listing the SL8-10? I have not heard of a -10 designation.

The Sl8-1 and -6 come in single stack for the US market

Delselins reports that that is how the reciever is stamped and how the CFC registers it.

That's just the pre-AWB sunset SL8.

Date code on them is AH = 07. I have asked the question on HK Pro ( no one knows ) and sent amessage to HK germany. ( no response yet )

I sent an email to HK Europe, who forwarded it to a third party. (I know who the third party is but omitted it for now) This is what I have been told:

Dear Sir,

HK has forwarded your question to me to answer. My understanding of the situation based on HK's feedback is this:

The SL8-10 standard production model designates an SL8 Short Rail in .222 caliber. In recent work orders, our purchase orders for SL8-4's have been processed as SL8-10's with a special notation on the work order to supply the SL8-10 in .223 caliber. If you have any questions please contact me.

Where are these guys gonna make a SL8 that looks like the G36 - like the way MR223 which is almost identitical to the HK416 other than the cancellation of FA enabling parts.

I bought a SL8-10 new off the shelf. The guy behind the counter said HK just rebranded the SL8-4/5. My SL8-10 had the long rail.
