Guy's, I am playing around with the SL8 type rifle these days and would like to ask if there is any field/first aid kit that I can get in case of failure. I know it is pretty simple design but it is mechanical so parts do need replacement.

The only significant wear part is the bolt cam, known in HK speak as the control bolt. If you want a spare, order now, the lead times are months.
It's not like an AR with the heat and grit wrecking stuff in the action.

The only repeated failure I've had with my SL8 is the dreaded cracking of the lower receiver, had two crack so far. Although this does not in any way affect the firing performance in the field it will just cause the bolt to not stay open after last shot. Other than this annoyance, no other failures to report and no first aid kit needed.
