he tried it on the falling steel and decided that it was even better than the aforementioned xd that he traded his shadows for. something about the grip safety was much better and it having a thumb saftey were the reasons why

now he can shoot classic division! :dancingbanana:

I will admit it shot nicely. But grip safeties still suck. Hesitation at the start was because I was making sure I had that stupid grip safety depressed.

Ok, I'm so sorry but I have to ask...

I watched the video and noticed you have very large cuspids and that this site has named a smiley after you (bat/vampire). Is that natural or cosmetic?

Again, sorry for getting off topic but I'm very inquisitive.

Thanks for entertaining my curiosity...

By the way, I heard a lot of "Pinging" in that video, must have been good shooting!

I missed one steel in that string I think, maybe two, and had to make them up, hence the reload.

Novaks "The Answer" is the answer. :D

I must be doing something wrong. I never give a thought to the GS on my Nighthawk and it absolutely never gets in my way.Do I need a new gun? :D

That hat is ridiculous.

First of all it's a toque. This IS Canada after all. And for some reason the covered but still very much outdoor range at Abottsford IS FECKIN' COLD ! ! ! !

This is from one of their weekly evening Speed Steel practice nights. The one I've made it to so far I also wore my "wooly hair replacement" to avoid freezing the ol' noggin... :D In my case I actually NEED the toque. But Rob has a full head of natural hair so I guess he's simply a wuss... :D

yes.

I've shot many 1911's with pinned safeties and ones with similar or perhaps even actual Novak replacements for the grip safety. Much nicer to shoot. But I still love a double action first shot. Doesn't hurt me for speed, I can keep up to pretty much anyone with a SA trigger no problem, both speed of first shot and accuracy wise. I actually hate safeties on handguns, decockers I don't mind, safeties I hate, hence the reason I run flush ones on my Shadow. I know however that on a 1911 you don't really have any choice, which is why I don't own a 1911, and probably never will. And don't even bother mentioning the LDA, that is just a bunch of suck put into mechanical form....

Then you would like my Grayguns prepared SIG X-Five A. It has a major sweet DA and an SA to die for. I hardly notice the DA when focused and then the SA shots that follow are as good as my 1911 to me which is very hard to beat. Shooting anything good is good eh?

I was gonna ask the same question, but worded differently.

"What's up with those teeth, bro ? Is that a dental procedure or Halloween vampire-teeth ?"

Sorry if I'm being abrupt...
