Slide glide by Brian Enos

This product is supposed to be more resilient than a typical gun oil. Has anyone had experience with it? I was thinking of getting the regular and use it on the Hammer strut to help smooth out my DA first shot. I find regular gun oil wears off quickly.

i use it on all my pistols...i find the recoil to be smoother...

I use it as well...you have to be a bit careful using it (even the SG light) in cold weather...it's thick.

would you guys recomend using it on the hammer strut for a TDA pistol? (ie; hammer spring sliding over the hammer strut?)

yes...he's not lying when he says it doesn't wear off...this stuff sticks to anything

For the purposes that you are looking at, would you consider using something like "Trigger Slick" instead? It's some kind of grease. I bought a small jar from Brownells a number of years ago, and I'm still less than an eighth of the way through the container. It's the stuff that's supposed to be used on the sear/hammer engagement surfaces and other places...

(I sure sounded Technical there, didn't I?)

Try some STP it's cheap and made for heavy friction loads. stays where you put it. If that doesn't work the part need's to be polished.

I use it all the time, and cut it with oil in the colder weather. . I use it on all my firearms

HB, alas "Trigger Slick" is no longer available. I've been looking for some for a while now.

I a regular user of Eno's SG too. But I only put it on the top end, barrel and frame rails. For internal parts I use FP-10.

I'll have to check, but I think Trigger Slick is the same as that dark grey moly-based lube that is sold by Brownells. (Although I don't know if they sell it anymore, either).

I think it may be the same as STP as well.

The Brian Enos Slide Glide stuff is also sold under the name "ATB" or something like that. It's also red stuff. I bought a bunch of the stuff for putting on my slide/barrel assembly, although I have yet to be convinced that it's better than putting Break Free on instead.
