what about using some anti-seize compound? some of it (the stuff i use on my car / truck / bike) is copper based so it even looks exotic.

im using wheel bearing grease in all my guns... sigs ar15s and shotguns works great. though just remember it gets thick in colder temps.

I have used Lubriplate grease for years with excellent results and it doesn't get as stiff as bearing grease in colder temps. YMMV

Be prepared to pay for it. Probably about 30-40 dollars comes in liquid or aerosol. They may have it in paste as well. But get the liquid. They use this stuff on the robotic arm in space. It's great for both extreme heat and cold.

Interesting lubricant. A little over the top for the majority of day-to-day gun applications, but would be great for the occasional special application.

BTW, I found it online, 1kg (a bit more than 2 grease gun cartridges) for a bit over $300. So if you want, I will sell you a grease gun tube for $1300

$7 or $8 for a small tub of slide glide lite is well worth it,...if you are worried about saving $3 dollars,..you could waste the gas money to go to the hardware store,...and IMHO, you have the wrong hobby. My tub of slide glide lasts a year or two if used properly.(or longer)
