I’ve been considering having a Hi Power slide milled to fit a red dot style optic. I love Aimpoints of various types on carbines/rifles but have never tried them on a pistol.

Would appreciate recommendations for Canadian businesses that do slide milling and also optic recommendations for the slender, Hi Power slide. I would want to still have the ability for iron sights, good battery life and a clear, crisp, daylight visible dot.

Thanks

Blackbox Customs in Calgary - they are sponsor here, so maybe ask them on their side of the forum if they are willing / can do the high power.
A footprint that narrow; you are likely looking at RMSc or RMRcc, with the former being more popular.

Let us know if you find a vendor willing to do the work. The last time I checked with Black Box out of Calgary, they refused the work stating that the Ho Power was simply too narrow for Optic mounting of any sort. YMMV....

I can recommend Blackbox Customs, as well. Really happy with the P226 slide I had milled with an RMR cut. The red dot fit perfectly and has been a ton of fun to shoot with.

Joseph Wu.. He did my shadow and he had an Infinty 1911 slide on the bench being milled, so if they can do an 1911, they could do a BHP. Now you might not be able to do direct to slide mounting, without an adapter plate.
