I just received my new Glock 48 and noticed a lot of slop or play on the front of the slide and the polymer frame, side to side. I can wave the gun left and right and it makes a click click as it hits the stops. I know glocks aren’t made like steel gun tolerances. I also own 3 other glocka as well as 3 other polymers from other manufacturers but I have never seen this much play. Anyone else experience this with their new 48 or any other glock?

I’m curious how it shoots off a rest. People get cranky about play in an AR receiver to lower, but that has minimal impact. Sorry I can’t add much otherwise; my Glocks would be antique now.

My secondhand G19 gen 3 has slop with the slide receiver fit , my G17 gen 4 has none , both shot the same , as long the barrel to slide lock up is tight, you're good.
But if it really bothers you, there are a few gun smiths out there who can tighten up the slide rails for a better fit .

My thing is a brand new gun shouldn’t need to be brought into a gunsmith. I haven’t shot it yet and it probably shoots fine but even walking around with it , it makes a racket. my 3 other glocks dont make a noise ar all.
