Slim grips for 1911

I’m looking for some super slim grips for my full size 1911. Preferably black and conservative in appearance, but focus is on getting something as slim as possible.

Suggestions on what to get? And where to get them?

I found the magpul 1911 grips to be pretty slim. always gave me a better grip compared to the ones that came with the pistol.

LOK grips offer a thin version for the 1911's. I'm looking at these myself.

VZ makes thin grips. Irrespective of which you pick you may have to replace the bushings, too.

If you get the thin grips, you need to replace the bushings with thin (or slim) inserts as well as different screws too. It adds another $20 - $30 to the cost.

My own preference is slim, black, double-diamond, in G10, by VZ.

If you can get a set of the black, checkered, hard rubber Norinco grips, I think you would be very happy! Both thin and comfortable. I tried some magpul grips some time back, and I found they felt cheap and toy like, and more slipery than the original Nork grips. I have since put a pair of very thin Uncle Mike's rosewood grips I got as NOS, and with my satin chrome 1911, they sure look nice. The Nork grips are more comfortable though.
