I have a bit of an issue for the front sling attachment point for a pump action 12 gauge shotgun.
Thing is all my Ithacas with the detachable barrels have a screw in point for an Uncle Mike's QD mount. This is fine on the normal sporting 4 shot Ithaca barrel. But with the longer extended magazine tube, this attachment point is rather awkward with the conventional sling as the muzzle sits too low when slung over the shoulder in a normal carry position with the barrel pointing skyward.
I see that Brownells sells the magazine tube attachment point for a QD sling swivel, but the advert' says it's for .800-.850 diameters for the Grove model.
But my M37 Ithaca in 12 gauge magazine tube mikes out at .998 outside diameter.
Does anyone have a similar problem and what was your solution?
Cheers..............
