I've seen a number of guys using the sling that comes with the rifle, however everyone I have seen uses it as a carry strap.
The Blue Force Gear Victory sling as seen below works the same as the Vickers sling. Use it to carry your rifle in front of you with the muzzle down and when needed simply pull the tab and bring it up to shoot.
It allows the firearm to be kept close to the body, but then able to lengthen instantly for shooting.
