Sling options for an XCR

What would be my best option for a sling on my XCR?This is primarily a hunting rifle.I have no experience or knowledge when it comes to tactical slings.Would a single point be my best choice for a day in the field?

BFG slings work pretty darn well on every gun I put them on. Quick to adjust, no floppy parts, no dangly extras.

I have the Magpul MS4 and their RSA QD rail attachment on my top rail. Great if you want to go from a single point to a 2 point solution in a snap.

I'd say no, you definitely don't wanna lug around your XCR on a single-point sling all day hunting.

The above recommendation is good, though, because it gives you both options. (magpul ms4)

I like Magpul, but the vickers is a better sling. Magpul also has a MS1 out now that is modular so you can get the hardware you want exactly, combining QD and "hook". I thing combining the two might be just perfect.

I buy mine off ebay, knockoff slings. A sling that costs $75 here is $5 shipped. I hunted a number of years with one on an old XCR and it was great. A sling is a sling...not much to them. If you gotta wear brand name..by all means buy Vickers or magpul.

If you're going to be slinging that rifle for long periods, the padded one is recomended

X2 same here. Works well. Will work even better when i get the folding charging handle so it doesnt dig into my back

Just curious, but where do you get such a folding charging handle? My Google-Fu seems to be lacking ...

guy on the xcr forums is doing a run soon. no modifactions to the rifle required. if he gets enough interest he will hopefully be making some. look slike a pipe dream at this point in time but if I can get some info from the guy I may try and build one myself.
