Want to get a sling setup for my Benelli M4 Super 90 (18.5"bbl) What are some of the options out there? I love single points on AR rifles and wanted to know if this is viable option for this shotgun? What about two point, I think that would be a good idea as well. Not sure about what slings would be best for this situation or what adapting parts I might need. Thought you guys would have some ideas for me?

Also, what type of side mounted extra shell holder would be good? Looking for either the 4 or 6 capacity. Have used some others in the past but am looking for a good setup for the Benelli.

Mesa Tactical side saddle = the best for the benelli.

Really like mine.

Sling: Blue Force Gear Vickers Combat Application Sling (2pt), mine is incoming for the past 4 months, so no comments from me, but others seem to really like them. The m4 is way to big for a single point imo.

4 Shot mesa reciever mounted w/rail and 4 Shot Mesa sling plate mount on my Supernova. Both fit like factory parts, are built very well and can be easily maintained. What do you have for a forward sling mount? I have a 1" sling off the sling swivel mount on mine, not sure what the M4 uses up front. The Mesa sling plate will only take a 1" sling, I found a sling I liked at wholesale sports made by Vanguard for about $20 its just 1" webbing with a nice rubberized shoulder pad that is very grippy and has kind of a chevron pattern that goes good with my forend.

You cant see the 4 rd. reciever shell holder but you get the picture

Blue Force Gear slings are the only way to go. VCAS is highly recommended.

Puma - did you order from us???

Nope, added it onto my Raven Concealment order from the US.

I am sure I would have gotten it ASAP if I ordered from OST. I need to drop by OST one of these days and grab some gear. Might grab a QD adapter for the sling, but I want to try it out as is first.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Looks like the Mesa is the way to go for extra shells. I really like the Vickers sling as well, would hardware would I need to mount one. I have the stock 1" sling adapter near the end of the M4, can use that as a sling point, what about a rear sling plate? Is there something other than the factory stock for mounting a sling. I have seen M4's with a sling plate just where the reciever meets the stock, is that the best way to go. I like the idea of a two point sling, I concure, the M4 is too heavy for a single point.

What do you guys recommend for sling plates?

Thanks as always for all the great knowledge from all.

Sling choice depends what you are using it for. If you're just carrying it around, you're probably best of with a two point, if you're gonna use it a single point is good. Check out the Emdom E-MM Gunslinger sling. It's a one-point/two-point sling that is quite a bit wider than the Magpul MSS sling, but works almost the same way. Remember to by hooks, as you can chose which kind of attachment hardware to use to fit your system.
Personally I use the Magpul MSS modified with with a HK Hook for both my AR's( With ASAP) and Remington 870's with Burnsed loop(plate between action and stock)
I have never had a Benelli, so I have no clue what brand of sling mounts to get for it.
