Rifle has a synthetic stock & sling studs with machine threads - they are not the screw type. The problem is that to get the front one tight I have to turn it just past the point where the hole would line up for the sling clip and it is too tight to try and continue the turn through to the next position where it would line up. (I hope this makes sense???) Any ideas on how I can get this stud tight AND aligned? TIA ............K

You use a washer the correct thickness so it tightens and lines up... you have to make it.

thanks guntech. what material are the washers made out of?

ya thought of that but thought there might be a better way ....

Some are plain white plastic but you can use anything... brass, stainless, etc. ...whatever is easiest for you.
