I have a Marlin 336. I put a swivel in the butt stock. Now for the front. Is there a place were I can buy a barrel band with a swivel on it or something to mount to the barrel band to make it work. I don't want to put it in the wood unless I have to.

And for a Rem 870 were should I go to get a new end cap for the mag that has a swivel??

I tried looking around on the web and could only find a place in the US. I'll try calling one or two of the local shops tomorrow

Thanks for the help

There is a clamp that goes around the mag tube on your lever action, and the swivel stud sits there easy as pie to use. You can put it further up the tube or right near the fore grip, kinda up to you on that. Forget who makes it (Millet perhaps). Had them on my Win 94's, similar animals? I think any remington retailer can get you that end cap with the swivel for your 870.

That would work.. I have never seen that, how did it look? I like the clean look of just a barrel band with the swivel

Uncle Mike's kit #1391 clamps to the mag tube and is easy to install.
Uncle Mike's kit #1531 requires that the rear barrel band be drilled and tapped. This is a neater installation and does not require removal for firearm disassembly.
Both should be readily available in any gun shop as they are a common request.

As for the mag cap, it would be cheaper to have a swivel stud installed in your existing cap.

Looked great, didn't even notice it much as the finish on mine were very good and totally matched the winchesters. Just seen the little nub of a stud sitting there. Clamped on nice and tight no wiggles. Another poster mentioned Uncle Mikes may make one now. I know mine wasn't uncle mikes though, I am almost certain it was either Millet or Weaver now that I think about it. I would try a gun store that specializes in "hunting" guns. Perhaps ordering from Cabela's or Wholesale or maybe Bass Pro? I bought mine at Gagnon Sports in Oshawa many moons ago.

"...mag cap swivels are a poor solution..." Works like 'hot damn' on my 870. Been using it for 30ish years. Put a Sterling SMG sling on it.
"...a barrel band with a swivel on it..." Buckets of 'em. Your local gun shop should have a selection. Not expensive either.
