Maybe Mr. Riflechair can comment on this..

I've been suffering from arthritis in my feet (sh!tty since I'm only 27 :(). I'm hoping to get it figured out soon with help from a good doctor. Its amazing how you can take your feet for granted until they let you down.

When I am pain free I want to take a No4 or No5 out on a nice day hike to a cut-block and just have some fun. Whats the best way to sling one of these comfortably without the pokey bits digging in to my back? I've got a few web slings, and a 1907 sling.

What about getting a nice wide non correct sling to use just when you are carrying in the bush? Also when you adjust your web sling the hooks should be well away from your body, I've never had any troubles with them digging in but I'm also 6' 235lbs.
