If I had an 870 or Mossberg 500 I'm sure I could buy a magazine cap with a sling swivel stud on it but this is a ManuFrance gun.
I can get replacement parts but I haven't found any modification parts.

The back of the magazine cap wasn't flat so I filled the big drill dimple with epoxy in order to give my swivel washer a large bearing surface on which to rotate.

I made a swivel stud and a threaded washer for the back of the magazine cap.
Both tapped 1/4-28.
The stud is a cut-off 1/4-28 bolt.

Here's the back of the magazine cap with my threaded washer installed.

Blued and assembled.

Slung.

I Loctited the stud into the swivel and then Loctited the stud into the washer so I have a smooth rotation of the swivel without play.

Looks a heck of a lot nicer than most stuff guys would make at home. I've got an old 870 wingmaster that uses the old barrel mounted detent to retain the magazine cap rather than the newer style internal one so I had to drill detents into the cap. Great job.
