I apologize if this has been done before. I was looking at getting a decent sling for my LMT CQB.

I didnt understand that much about swivel mounts, etc.

I found this page that explains most of the numerous sling setups.

I disagree. I found the VCAS too stiff to adjust and at the time there was no padded version. I run the VTAC and have nothing but positive results. The so called issue of the tail isn't an issue at all.

I disagree.

And everyone is welcome to, but the RCMP, the Dutch, multiple CF units, FBI and other US goverment agencies, and multiple Tier 1 US units would disagree with you ;)

We sell 1 VTAC for every few thousand VCAS we sell.

You need the padded AA version then, which is faster than the CNC's version.

We have units who were running the VTAC and are now switching to the VCAS.

It seems that after hard use the buckle is breaking.

After having lost an issue weapon out of a helicopter, and other issues, the VTAC is being replaced with the VCAS.

Any idea of where that weapon was lost - I'd hate to think of it just laying there for anyone to pick up, when I could go get it :D

Seriously though, get a Vickers they just plain work and continue to work when other stuff dies. I'll add that when I sold the rifle my VCAS was on, the sling did NOT go with it, but the optic did.

I'll add one counter point to your post. When in doubt, if the RCMP selects it, the rest of the free world shouldn't.;) As mentioned, I had a non padded version and wasn't overly thrilled. I might have to give the VCAS a second go.
