I had these put on the Remington 1858 cylinder. They have the porthole right completely through the stem, just like the old discontinued Hot Shots.
This Remington was actually more reliable in this configuration then one of my ROAs with the factory stainless steel nipples using Remington #10 caps in both examples.
I just ordered some spares from my preferred BP dealer.

Strong recommendation here for all you devoted cap and ball sixgun shooters!
