Anyone have experience with the titanium version of SLR adjustable gas block? Any reason other than weight it would be better than their regular adjustable gas block?

Interesting, do you think this has anything to do with it being Ti? A bad design? Or just a fluke?

Hard to say. Titanium is softer than steel, probably part of the problem. It was one of th first AR's I built, so maybe I did something wrong tapping the pin in. It was on a AR15 with about 2000 rounds down the pipe over 2 years, when I started to notice the issue.

I think the SLR gas blocks are a good design. Easy to count the number of clicks from closed. Adjustment is on the front, so it can be adjusted without removing the handguard, if you have a long handguard that covers the gas block. They do have to be taken apart every once in a while and cleaned. And make sure are a range trip to adjust the screw a few clicks in either direction so the adjusting screw doesn't seize up rendering the gas block non-adjustable.

I've had a second SLR ti adjustable gas block on my MH since April (300 rounds), it so far has been excellent. Saved 18.9g with the Ti gas block over the SS ATRS gas block.
