I recently purchased a Browning BPS field and have been looking for a cantilivered rifled slug barrel for it. Found a barrel manufacturer called Badger barrels prices are right just not to sure of the quality. Do any of you CGN'ers own one of these barrels or know of someone who has one? Are they good quality or are they junk? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am located in SW Ont. There is a dealer(Norris fishing and hunting supply) who supplies Badger barrels located in Westport Ont. They are the only dealer that i know of who carries them or can get them. Ya I know you get what you pay for but the barrel will only be used one week a year during shotgun deer season. $250 for the badger barrel as compared to $450 for a browning. Heck the browning barrel costs the same as i payed for the gun and three choke tubes. I have time to search for a used Browning barrel for a decent price. Fingers crossed i can find one. Just thought i would put the question out there to see if anyone has a Badger barrel and if they like it or would recommend one. Thanks for your replies.

might just as soon buy another pbs with a cantalever slug barrell.if you are after a rifled barrel no sence stoping with just sights scope rail is a must turns most slug guns in to 150yards snipers some can shot out pass 200 yards having a dedicated slug gun is nice and you will us it a lot more then you think thy work great for mooses hunting in close swamps .as well as bear hunting you can most likly find one for abvout 450 to 550 $DUTCH
Going with a dedicated slug gun is an option that i have concidered. Hard to find one in a Lefty with out spending a small fortune. Used Leftys are snapped up pretty quick and not that common in a slug only configeration.
