Slug gun.lol barrel ringing after shot

I was shooting in my slug gun.lol yesterday. It is a reminder 870 with a hastings rifled barrel .ever slug I fired the barrel was ringing after the shot never heard this before. Any thoughts.

How did you hear the barrel ring with ear pro on? If you weren't wearing any the ringing might have been your ears and not the gun

I had an M-14 that when I closed the bolt the flash hider rang like a bell. It was an H&R

When I shot a .65 cal howdah pistol with what could be perceived as a maximum load (50 grains Goex under a 344 gr RB) the pair of 7.5 inch barrels gave the same ringing tone after each shot.
I backed the load off by 5 grains, then the tone disappeared.

I have a Stihl Pro trimmer...rev it up and it sounds like there is a little bell inside. Have lots of Stihl gas products but never heard this before. When I asked my service guy, he said it is pretty common. Weird...kind of like those little bells I had on my bike as a kid...dling dling..only faster and louder. Ha!

must be a well tuned gun ..

Just a guess here, but I strongly suspect the combination of a solid projectile at some considerable velocity, launched within the relatively thin shotgun barrel is the true culprit here.
Barrel harmonics?? Maybe.

My ears are ringing right now (tinnitus)and burning at the same time too
Already mentioned , think tuning fork.
some barrels ring more than others for sure.

I have narrowed it down to Remington acutips thy are the ones that ring the barrel.

It's the bell housing on the clutch? Mine do it too.
