Whats the yardage YOU sight in at and why?

Just wondering, I do 100 yards but missed a deer at 10 yards.

i alwast start at 30 yards and work my way nback to 100 .you will find you may have to sight your gun in 2 or 3 inched hight at 30 yards to get it were you need it aat 100 yards DUTCH

I sight in for 25 yards, then shoot at other distances, both closer and farther, to determine what my hold off, if any, needs to be.

Well if you follow the ballistics charts it some what helps. I use hornady SST's in my 835 rifled and at 50 Yards I sight in for a 2" hold over and hits flat at 100 yards.

I sight my slug gun in at 50 yards.Smoothbore barrel with rifle sights using Challenger slugs.Where we deer hunt,it's pretty thick bush so 50 yards is about the max that I'll be shooting. Cheers Bac4
