Hello all, was wondering what slugs most prefer for the f12 Typhoon. Will be range shooting these, not hunting with them. Do I need dif. rounds for breaking in or just go at it? Thank You.

If you are looking for a slug for practice at the range ... then I suggest to stay away from the full power slugs .... and instead to go with a low recoil or sport slug.

Full power slugs kick like mule .....

One slug that I like for range practice .....is the Sellier & Bellot Sport slug. It is a low recoil slug with more than decent accuracy....

Full power slugs are in the range of 1500 fps to 1800 fps .... and low recoil slugs are in the range of 1200 fps to 1300 fps ....

Score makes a great low-recoil slug. You don't have to, but I believe a regular slug will break in more efficiently than a low recoil slug. Even use buckshot.

If breaking in the gun I’d buy the cheapest full power slugs or buckshot you can find, then buy a couple boxes of various brands and see what accurately shoots the best in your shotgun. I prefer full power loads but I’m pretty recoil insensitive, I like the thump of a stout slug lol. A good recoil pad isn’t a bad thing either.
